Lithium niobate is one of the most versa tile and well-developed active optical materials. The crystal finds wide application in electro-optics, acousto-optics, nonlinear optics and guided-wave optics. Specific applications including SAW (surface acoustic wave) devices, integrated optic devices, refractive elements and passive. Fundamental properties making lithium niobate suitable for such uses include a wide transparency range, high electro-optic and nonlinear optic coefficients, very high electro-mechanical coupling coefficients, and chemical and mechanical stability.
We offer a variety of sizes and thickness of Lithium Niobate Wafers with wafer diameters ranging from 75 to 200 mm. Standard thicknesses from 0.3 to 3mm.
Product type:
1. Two grades are offered to customers according to application areas.
Acoustical grade: Medium growth rate, high crystallisation rate, multiple refilling of crucible residue
(≥ 4 times), low selling price.
Optical grade: low growth rate, low crystallisation rate, crucible residue, crucible residue furnace growth ≤ 4 times, higher selling price.
2. The standard orientations are x-axis and z-axis growth.
Lithium niobate is available in two compositions: congruent and 5.0 mol % magnesium doped.
